So a Bruise!? – ICE Agent Ran Over by Renee Good Suffered “Internal Bleeding”, DHS Reveals

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who was rammed by a vehicle driven by anti-ICE activist Renee Good during a January 7 enforcement operation in Minneapolis is now reportedly suffering from internal bleeding, according to federal officials.

Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent involved in the incident, was initially transported to the hospital and released the same day.

However, two U.S. officials briefed on the matter told CBS News that Ross is now being treated for internal bleeding in his torso.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed the injury, though officials have not disclosed how severe the bleeding is.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem addressed the incident shortly after it occurred, stating that Ross had been struck by Good’s vehicle during the encounter.

“The officer was hit by the vehicle. She hit him,” Noem said at the time.

“He went to the hospital. A doctor did treat him.

“He has been released.”

Ross fatally shot Good after she drove her SUV into him, an encounter that was captured on body-camera video and later released publicly.

Video shows escalating standoff before vehicle strike

Footage obtained by Alpha News shows the moments leading up to the shooting from Ross’s perspective. Good is seen seated inside her Honda Pilot during a tense standoff with federal agents.

At first, Good appears calm, smiling and telling Ross, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad.”

Her wife, Rebecca Good, can be heard repeatedly taunting Ross, urging him to “show his face” while filming the encounter on her phone.

As the confrontation escalated, agents repeatedly ordered Good to exit the vehicle.

She refused to comply.

Instead, the video shows her revving the engine before accelerating forward toward Ross as he stood in front of the SUV.

Ross’s body camera jolts violently as he is struck while attempting to jump out of the way.

He immediately fired three shots, including one through the windshield.

Good was struck and later pronounced dead after crashing into two parked vehicles nearby.

Additional surveillance footage released earlier shows Good blocking the roadway for several minutes during an active immigration enforcement operation, with multiple agents surrounding the vehicle and attempting to de-escalate the situation before the shooting.

Agent Previously Injured in Similar Incident

Federal officials have noted that Ross has a history of serious line-of-duty injuries.

In the aftermath of the shooting, Vice President JD Vance revealed that Ross had nearly been killed just months earlier after being dragged by a vehicle driven by an illegal alien.

“He nearly had his life ended, dragged by a car six months ago, 33 stitches in his leg,” Vance said.

“So you think maybe he’s a little bit sensitive about somebody ramming him with an automobile.”

On Sunday, U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino said Ross has received “several threats against his life” since the shooting.

“He’s in a safe location,” Bovino said.

“He’s recovering from those injuries, and we’re thankful that he’s recovering.”

Fundraisers Surge as Agent Recovers in Secure Location

Multiple fundraisers have been launched in support of Ross, raising more than $976,000 combined as of Wednesday.

Federal agents were recently seen removing belongings from Ross’s home, which has reportedly remained vacant since the incident amid security concerns.

The shooting has intensified national debate over aggressive resistance to federal immigration enforcement, particularly as ICE agents face mounting hostility and threats while carrying out their duties.
