Explosive new rooftop footage from the 2025 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has ignited fresh scrutiny of the official account after the man shown in the video appeared not to match accused killer Tyler Robinson.
Conservative commentator Candace Owens released the previously unseen surveillance footage and argued that it undermines key claims made by investigators about the shooting.
The video quickly drew the attention of Alex Jones, who declared that the “official narrative” had “collapsed.”
Robinson remains accused of carrying out the assassination, but a judge has not yet determined whether the case will proceed to trial.

‘The Official Charlie Kirk Assassination Story Is Now 100% Dead’
Jones reposted Owens’ footage and said it appeared to be “raw and unedited.”
He also questioned whether the man moving across the Losee Center rooftop could be Robinson.
“The Official Charlie Kirk assassination story is now 100% dead!” Jones wrote.
“Candace Owens just dropped powerful never-before-seen surveillance video of the Losee Center rooftop.
“The video Owens released appears to be raw and unedited!
“This is the same footage that the court will not let the public see, that we are meant to believe is Tyler Robinson assassinating Charlie Kirk.”
Jones then identified several details that he said conflicted with the prosecution’s version of events.
“The individual does not look like Tyler Robinson.
“The rifle is never pulled from his pants.
“The person in the footage has no limp. Nowhere do we see the shooter assembling the gun on the roof as we were told.
“No recoil is seen,” Jones notes.
“He performs military maneuvers with precision as well as signaling before opening fire.
“The official narrative just COLLAPSED…”
Earlier surveillance footage presented during Robinson’s preliminary hearing appeared to show a man walking across the Utah Valley University campus with what prosecutors described as a limp before the shooting.
Jones argued that no such limp is visible in the newly released rooftop footage.
Owens Points to ‘Military-Style’ Movement
Owens has repeatedly questioned whether Robinson was responsible for Kirk’s assassination.
She raised similar concerns during an earlier interview with CNN journalist Elle Reeve and revisited the case during the latest episode of her podcast.
Owens said the rooftop figure appeared to perform a military maneuver known as a lateral crawl.
“Now what happens next is exactly as my source stipulated,” she says in the video.
“Now the rooftop guy begins a tactical crawl that is actually known in the military as a lateral crawl. Let’s watch that…
“I actually want to show you a side-by-side so you can actually see a real military man do that… that general action right there is known as a lateral crawl.”
Owens also highlighted what she described as a flash and an object or movement being thrown forward before the figure assumed a firing position.
“He comes running onto the rooftop.
“What we know definitively is he gets down into what is known as a lateral military crawl.
“Begins that crawl over to the right first and then to the left; we see a quick flash.
“We are not sure what that flash is.
“Um, actually this looks like, oh, I’m not going to read into it.
“There’s that throw forward.
“I say fold forward,” she said.
“You can say throw forward, but that’s definitely something being flung forward, getting into position.”

Footage Raises New Questions Before Trial Decision
Authorities continue to identify Robinson as the man responsible for Kirk’s assassination.
However, the newly released footage has intensified questions over whether the rooftop figure matches Robinson and whether the movements shown align with the official reconstruction of the attack.
The court has not yet ruled on whether Robinson will stand trial.
Until that decision is made, Owens’ footage is likely to remain at the center of mounting demands for investigators to explain the apparent discrepancies between the video and the case presented against the accused.
