Automated Trucks To Replace Truckers In The U.S.?

TuSimple, an autonomous driving technology world-wide, will become the first customer to move freight on a fully automated trucking route between Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona metro areas. The San Diego company (TuSimple) announced last month that they had produced the world’s first semi-truck run on public roads without a driver in the cab or human intervention. This was another step toward fully automated freight hauling with trucks. This may threaten the livelihood of many truck drivers, especially in the U.S. Similarly, UPS is already delivering goods with it’s autonomous truck computer programs, provided a human driver is present. Pacific Railroad, the largest Class I railroad in the U.S, will utilize TuSimple’s technology to maneuver freight back and forth.

Union Pacific is leveraging Loup Logistics (Loup), a fully owned subsidiary, to coordinate the freight shipment. Loup will also support movement between rail and the critical first and last mile. Starting sometime in the spring, TuSimple plans to showcase its groundbreaking AV (autonomous vehicle) technology to deliver goods to their destination faster and more cost-

effectively. Kenny Rocker, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales with Union Pacific, explained the partnership with TruSimple: “They provide us with a significant opportunity to scale the technology in our network, proactively reducing global supply chain congestion.”

The first truck, without a driver, was tested on a run back on December 22, 2021. TuSimple recently reported an additional six successful fully autonomous trips. The seven test-runs spanned over 550 cumulative miles on open public roads without a human in the vehicle, without any tele-operation, and without any traffic intervention. Test runs were performed in various road conditions, such as rush-hour evening traffic and consecutive “back-to-back” trips on the same night. In the near future, the AV technology plans to continue its program and expand its range to incorporate daytime excursions with new routes. Meanwhile, they wish to make improvements to the AV technology, possibly expanding operations to Texas.

Cheng Lu, President and CEO of TuSimple said: “Our repeatable and scalable ‘Drivers Out’ operations marks a significant inflection point in our company’s history. We are the world’s first to complete all of the features of AV trucking technology.” Lu also boasted about their on-time history of this breakthrough, which is being delivered on an accelerated timeline.

Professor Henrik Christensen, director of robotics at University of California San Diego, bragged about a vehicle, similar to a golf cart, which has been delivering mail at UCSD without a driver. Christensen also mentioned how children, born today, will never have to learn how to drive a car. He also stated that the new technology, paired with the U.S. overloaded supply chains and a shortage of truck drivers (because of Covid jab mandates) have put driverless trucks in the sites of many auto and computer tech companies. There is a massive need for getting more goods out of ports and getting it on the roads. Multiple new companies, besides TuSimple, have entered the race, such as Aurora and General Motors (GM). Globalist Tesla is very interested in this technology too.

Many truckers (real people) seem resigned to the future automation of the trucking industry, but they don’t share the view that “robotrucks” can do a better job. This is the way the industry seems to be going, especially with the Covid genocide jabs. The plandemic mandates have created a real shortage of drivers. Some of the real truckers believe that the AV technology may not be safe, especially in the beginning. There are too many variables out there that a computer may not be able to adjust too, especially weather and driving conditions.

Will automation get rid of human truck drivers? This whole technology seems to raise more questions than answers. How are you going to upkeep AV technology? If these systems break down, technicians are needed to take care of the repairs. The timing of this roll-out stinks. One of the goals of the globalists is to do away with the human worker through automation. With their depopulation agenda (eugenics), the AV technology helps their cause. The average employee will not be necessary anymore. Plus, with the “Convoy to DC” in the works, is this an attempt to coerce U.S. truckers to take the genocide Covid jab?
