Democrat Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cited the Holocaust to defend anti-Semitic Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after President Donald Trump posted a scathing video that juxtaposed images of the September 11, 2001 Islamist terror attacks on the U.S. with Omar’s dismissive comment about 9/11, “Some people did something.”

In a tweet posted Friday night, Ocasio-Cortez accused Trump of putting Omar’s life in danger and posted a photo of the famous World War II poem by Martin Niemoller, “Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack today. @IlhanMN’s life is in danger. For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress. We must speak out. “First they came…”
