According to this article in The Atlantic, which often publishes fake news but occasionally does worthwhile journalism, you should take your dentists’ demands with a gran of salt.
In fact we here at The Liberty Sentinel have long been suspicious of many dentists. One time in Colorado, a dentist claimed TLS’ Alex Newman had some alleged chronic gum issue. “Not to worry,” the dentist claimed. “Just hand over $5,000 for surgery and make an appointment here every 3 months for the rest of your life, and you’ll be just fine!”
After seeking out a second opinion, it was clear there was no “chronic gum issue” at all. It was all a fraud.
There are many excellent and very honest dentists out there. But there are also some thieves and quacks looking to drill out the contents of your wallet rather than improve your oral health.
Full disclosure: Newman has found an AMAZING dentist who will never perform a root canal due to long-term health risks, and who warns patients to avoid fluoride like the neurotoxin that it is.
But in any case, before making another trip to the dentist, make sure to read this excellent report:
The Truth About Dentistry: It’s much less scientific—and more prone to gratuitous procedures—than you may think.
