A new study from Columbia University and the University of Hong Kong says the omicron variant is markedly resistant to the Covid-19 shot and boosters. This can be bad news for the country as cases for the new mutation are on the rise. “A striking feature of this variant is the large number of spike mutations that pose a threat to the efficacy of current Covid-19 vaccines and antibody therapies,” according to study authored by 20 scientists at both universities. Even a third booster shot may not adequately protect against this new variant. The University of Hong Kong study also found that the omicron strain is roughly 70 times more transmissible than delta, but much less severe.
The omicron variant was first detected in South Africa in November 2021. It is demonstrating higher rates of reinfection and “vaccine” breakthroughs. Both studies brought up the point that Covid-19 is now only a mutation or two away from being pan-resistant to current antibodies, suggesting that new strategies should be developed that better target viral components.
Some thoughts to consider about this. Are the jabbed patients producing the variants? For people who are not jabbed & are infected with the virus, isn’t natural immunity so much better than “vaccine” immunity? If this strain is relatively mild, wouldn’t it be better to avoid Covid shots, possibly leading to herd immunity? One last thing to think about with Covid-19: During the approaching winter months in most of the country, use the known therapies that contribute to healthy immunity, such as vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and quercitin.
