Eric Swalwell Threatens to Weaponize Government Against Americans Who Support Trump If Democrats Take Back Congress

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is openly threatening private American citizens who support President Donald Trump.

Swalwell is warning them that “accountability is coming” for those who work with Trump if Democrats regain control of Congress.

In an interview on CNN, Swalwell boasted that his party would retake the majority in the next election.

However, this prediction is widely disputed by political analysts.

“We are making it clear we are going into the majority a year from now,” Swalwell said.

“We have every intention to do that.”

He then promised aggressive use of congressional power against both government agencies and private citizens.

“And so we will bring oversight accountability,” he continued.

“We will subpoena the Department of Justice, but also private actors who have done these drug deals with the administration.

“College campuses, entertainment companies, and so accountability is coming, and so, One, it’s all coming out, Two.

“I hope that deters people from doing more of these deals, these one-offs with the president.”

The comments amount to a direct threat against private Americans who entered into lawful agreements with the Trump administration, signaling that Democrats intend to weaponize oversight powers for partisan retribution.

Trump Administration Strikes Back

Swalwell’s comments come as evidence continues to mount that it was Democrats, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden, who weaponized the federal government against Trump.

The FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” probe was based on falsehoods tied to the Clinton campaign.

However, the fallout from those efforts is only beginning.

Just last week, former FBI Director James Comey was indicted on charges of lying to Congress and obstruction, underscoring how far-reaching the scheme was.

Swalwell’s Own Lapses

Swalwell himself has long been dogged by scandal.

He earned the nickname “Fang Fang” after revelations of his relationship with a woman tied to Chinese Communist Party intelligence.

The woman was widely described as a CCP “honey pot” spy who helped elevate Swalwell to his powerful position on the House Intelligence Committee, putting national security at risk.

Though the House Ethics Committee eventually “closed” its review, critics noted the panel’s unusual move to shield Swalwell from consequences, even after the national security risks were made public.

The scandal has long raised concerns about Swawell’s loyalties.

A Party of Projection

Swalwell’s latest warning illustrates what many conservatives argue has become a defining feature of the Democratic Party: projection.

While Democrats accuse Trump of “drug deals” and corruption, it was their own leadership that caught abusing federal agencies to pursue political enemies.
