Former President Trump joined Sara Carter on the podcast Tuesday to talk about the changes since the Biden administration took over. He says, almost everything is totally opposite from when he was on office.
“We had the greatest economy,” Trump told Carter. “All the opposite of what’s going on right now. We’re gonna have tremendous inflation, the economy is going to be in big trouble, all of the things that we see now, it’s almost the opposite.”
Since Carter recently returned from Guatemala, she asked the former president what he thought about the ongoing border crisis. He called the border “an open sieve.” Meanwhile, while he was president, it was under control. According to him, the border wall he built his campaign on only needed a couple more months of work on it. But, the Biden administration stopped all work on it.
“And so we have little sections of wall we have openings,” Trump said. “And now, you look at what’s going on with the floods of 1000’s and 1000’s of people right now, as we talk, they’re heading up to our country, we have no idea who those people are.”
Biden attended the G-7 Summit this week, making international promises while gaffing all the while. Carter asked Trump for his opinion on Biden’s global diplomacy recently. Trump says G-7 leaders are not to be trusted.
“They’re stealing our country,” Trump said. Meanwhile, “he’s going into deals that are disaster, costing us trillions of dollars. And we have to rebuild our own bridges and our own roads. He wants to rebuild the world.”
The one thing the Democrats are doing right, according to Trump, is loyalty. He says the Republican party should take notes from their opponents. During the applauded the removal of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her position as GOP Conference Chair, but said more replacements are in order.
“You start it off by getting somebody to replace Mitch McConnell in the Senate,” Trump told Carter. “You get somebody with a voice that that is a modern day voice that understands what the party is all about, because Mitch doesn’t know right now.”
Meanwhile, the Democrats win policy battles “because they stick together better than the Republicans stick together,” Trump said. “Frankly, they don’t have Romney’s over there. They don’t have guys that that are like little Ben Sasse of Nebraska.”
But Trump remains hopeful, saying that there is a bright future in 2024. “As far as the election, as far as 2024 is concerned, I think everyone’s going to be very happy,” Trump said.
