Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., was booed on stage during former President Donald Trump’s victory speech after winning South Carolina’s 2024 Republican presidential primary.
The audience hostilely responded to Graham, a longtime Trump ally, as the former president introduced him on stage Saturday evening following his win over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in the primary.
“Not a lot of people know him. He doesn’t do too much television,” Trump joked as he welcomed Graham to take over the microphone from him during the victory celebration.
“He happens to be a little bit further left than some of the people on this stage. But I always say when I’m in trouble on the left, I call up Lindsey Graham and he straightens it out,” Trump said.
As the audience’s boos became louder, the former president said, “No no, no, no,” as he motioned for the audience to quiet down.
“I love him. He’s a good man. Come up here Lindsey. Come up here Lindsey. Come here,” Trump said before Graham took over the microphone.

Addressing the crowd, Graham said Trump is the “most qualified man to be president of the United States.”
