A former Democrat member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives is facing 30 years in prison after being arrested on federal charges for abhorrent crimes against children.
Jesse White represented Pennsylvania’s 46th Legislative District from 2006 to 2014.
White has now been hit with multiple federal child pornography charges.
Search Uncovered Stash of Shocking Material
His arrest came after investigators executed a search warrant at his home and allegedly discovered numerous files depicting child sexual abuse material.
White was charged by criminal complaint with receipt and possession of child pornography, the Department of Justice announced.
Federal agents executed a search warrant at White’s residence on Tuesday, according to U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania Brian D. Miller.
Investigators reportedly seized multiple computers and hard drives during the search.
Those drives were reportedly filled with images and videos of horrific child abuse.

Investigation Began With CyberTip
According to the Justice Department, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a CyberTip reporting suspected child pornography.
Federal investigators ultimately identified White as the alleged recipient of the files.
The criminal complaint alleges that one hard drive contained “numerous files containing images of child pornography,” including images depicting minors between the ages of seven and 15.
A second hard drive allegedly contained “approximately 100 files depicting child pornography.”
Former Lawmaker Faces Up to 30 Years in Prison
White served nearly a decade in the Pennsylvania House before losing his 2014 reelection campaign.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, his defeat followed a social media controversy in which he allegedly created fake accounts to attack constituents and political opponents.
His legislative district included portions of Allegheny, Beaver, and Washington counties.
The Justice Department noted that White has been charged by criminal complaint but has not yet been indicted.
If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of up to 30 years in federal prison.
