  1. That goddess Tanit is directly related to the goddess Tonantzin, an ancient Aztec mother goddess, also a fertility goddess. She is the one behind the Virgin of Guadalupe, which is so prevalent in Mexico and other Latin countries. She was syncretized by the Catholic church, so the indigenous peoples could continue to worship her, just under a new name. Do your own research, but this explains a lot of what is going on in Mexico today…. the drugs, the violence, the sexual sins. I can tell you more, but that is enough to start.
