
Washington D.C., New York, and Los Angeles among others saw protests Tuesday over the recent violence in Israel and the Gaza strip. All were concentrated outside the various Israel Consulate buildings.
While most remained peaceful, in New York, police officers had to intervene in some fights between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel activists as captured on video posted to social media.

After posting several fiery tweets in support of the Palestinians, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) joined protests, alongside Rep. André Carson (D-IN), to speak to activists. Carson said of the experience “Americans of all backgrounds have a moral obligation to protect human rights wherever they are threatened.”
