The mainstream media is completely obsessed over Elon Musk’s recent stock purchase and subsequent offer to buy Twitter. There have been multiple opinion pieces and a frenzy of op-eds over the last week explaining to us why it is extremely dangerous for the richest man in the world to be buying up and taking over a social media platform.
We only have to look back at a clip from a 2017 Morning Joe to be reminded why these self -appointed keepers of all human think are so upset.
The following words came out of the mouth Mika Brzezinski herself …
“The dangerous edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsen, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think……and that is our job.”
Joe Scarborough profoundly replies:
“Yeah”.
So, when you heard Brezinski on Friday’s Morning Joe, explaining how “a hypothetical Elon Musk takeover (sets) a “very dangerous precedent” for America”.
“…are there any ways to stop him if he wants to buy Twitter? Are there any guardrails around something like this? Because this could be a very dangerous precedent,”
“He does not believe in the consequences of words,” added Brezinki’s guest, Lynette Lopez, who had written earlier that “Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter represents a chilling new threat: billionaire trolls taking over social media.”
Brezinski was just repeating what she has apparently believed for years.
For those who believe in free thought as well as free speech, let that bit of media honesty sink in. The thought police are alive and well and living in media outlets near you, ready to guide your thoughts and impressions down the deep state road. Have no fear!! There is absolutely no need for you to stop and think for yourself.
