President Donald Trump has warned that the United States has the capability to wipe out the Iranian regime’s most critical oil export hub within minutes, and the U.S. military is “locked and loaded” and ready to do so with a moment’s notice.

However, Trump says he has deliberately chosen not to pull the trigger – yet.

Speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said U.S. forces are fully prepared to destroy Kharg Island, the regime’s primary oil export terminal and a vital economic lifeline for Tehran.

“We can do that on five minutes’ notice,” Trump said.

“We have it all locked and loaded and ready to go if we want to do it.”

“We chose not to do it,” Trump added.

“I chose not to do it again.

Kharg Island handles the vast majority of Iran’s oil exports and is widely viewed as the regime’s most important economic asset.

Trump described the island as Iran’s “crown jewel.”

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces struck the island on Friday as part of Operation Epic Fury, targeting more than 90 military installations tied to Iran’s war machine.

Those strikes reportedly hit naval mine storage sites, missile bunkers, and other military facilities, while intentionally leaving the oil infrastructure itself intact.

The restraint, according to the White House, was strategic.

Trump suggested the threat of destroying Kharg Island outright is being used as leverage to force Iran back to the negotiating table.

“I don’t think they’re ready to do what they have to do. But I think they will be at some point,” Trump told reporters.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi attempted to project defiance during an interview with CBS News, insisting Tehran has not sought a ceasefire despite the escalating conflict.

“We are ready to defend ourselves as long as it takes,” Araghchi said.

“And this is what we have done so far, and we continue to do that until President Trump comes to the point that this is an illegal war with no victory.”

Talk of a U.S. Takeover of Kharg Island

Behind the scenes, the White House is reportedly weighing an even more dramatic option.

According to Axios, Trump has discussed the possibility of seizing Kharg Island outright, which officials say could deliver a devastating economic blow to the Iranian regime.

One U.S. official told the outlet that capturing the island could amount to “an economic knockout of the regime.”

But such a move could also escalate the conflict dramatically, potentially triggering Iranian retaliation against oil infrastructure across the Persian Gulf, including facilities in Saudi Arabia.

“There are big risks,” the official said.

“There are big rewards.

“The president isn’t there yet, and we’re not saying he will be.”

Intelligence Bombshell Surrounds Iran’s New Supreme Leader

Meanwhile, intelligence reports circulating inside Washington have raised new questions about Mojtaba Khamenei, the newly installed supreme leader of Iran.

According to multiple sources cited by the New York Post, U.S. intelligence agencies have received reports suggesting Khamenei may be gay—an explosive allegation given Iran’s brutal criminalization of homosexuality.

The claim reportedly surfaced during an intelligence briefing attended by President Trump.

Sources told the outlet that Trump reacted with surprise when he heard the report.

Two intelligence officials and a source close to the White House told The Post that U.S. agencies consider the information credible, though no photographic evidence exists.

According to the intelligence assessment, Mojtaba Khamenei, who long served as his father’s gatekeeper and power broker inside the regime, allegedly maintained a long-term relationship with a male tutor during his youth.

Another source said the alleged relationship involved someone who had worked for the Khamenei family.

One official said the intelligence came from “one of the most protected sources that the government has.”
