Explosive new revelations are raising serious concerns about foreign interference in the 2020 presidential election, with investigators now examining evidence that the Chinese Communist Party may have infiltrated American voter identification systems.
Renowned investigative journalist John Solomon disclosed the developments during an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
Solomon is warning that a sweeping intelligence review is underway that could dramatically reshape the national debate over election security.
According to Solomon, senior leadership across America’s intelligence community is now examining a newly discovered body of documents that could expose potential Chinese influence operations targeting U.S. elections.
Intelligence Chiefs Launch Extraordinary Review
Solomon reported that CIA Director John Ratcliffe, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard are conducting an extraordinary intelligence review involving election systems and voter data.
The investigation, he said, is focused on whether Chinese actors managed to penetrate voter identification databases maintained by U.S. states and then used that information in influence operations.
If confirmed, such activity would represent one of the most alarming foreign interference scenarios ever uncovered in the American electoral system.
Maricopa County Probe Sparks Wider Questions
During the interview, Johnson asked Solomon about a separate investigation unfolding in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Investigators recently seized election-related materials from the county using a grand jury subpoena.
Solomon clarified that the move was not technically a “raid” but part of a legal review examining whether election officials properly followed state law while administering federal elections.
Johnson asked:
“But your take on Maricopa County — you’re saying that what’s going to happen is we’re going to find out the Chinese had a major heavy hand in rigging the election? What’s your take on the raid yesterday in Maricopa?”
Solomon responded:
“Yeah, it wasn’t really a raid.
“It was a grand jury subpoena, but they grabbed the stuff.
“There will be some search warrants executed in the coming days based on my reporting.”
“They’re looking at — in Maricopa County — a very technical thing, just like it was in Georgia: ‘Did you follow state law? Because if you didn’t administer a federal election the way it was supposed to be administered under state law, you can be charged federally.’”
“It’s just about doing the right thing and following the law,” Solomon continued.
“But above that — not in Maricopa County, not in Fulton County — there is an extraordinary review going on by the CIA director, the FBI director, and the Director of National Intelligence.
“So, Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe, and Kash Patel.”
Troubling Documents Discovered
Solomon said the intelligence review is centered on a newly discovered set of documents that could reveal significant vulnerabilities in election systems.
“They have found a body of documents that I think will trouble all of us and probably will have a profound effect on the Senate debate over the SAVE America Act,” Solomon explained.
The findings could directly affect the debate in Washington over legislation designed to strengthen voter verification requirements.
Potential Impact on Election Security Debate
Solomon suggested that lawmakers currently hesitant about the legislation may reconsider once the intelligence findings become public.
“A lot of senators are sitting up there saying, ‘I don’t know if I need to vote for this. I don’t know what the politics are,’” he said.
“Wait a second — when they find out that maybe voter identities in their state databases were penetrated by China and used in influence operations, that may change their mind.”
“I think the debate in the Senate could be informed by what comes out in the next few weeks,” Solomon added.
