Hunter’s Laptop Woes

While news media outlets have been atwitter over Elon Musk’s recent stock purchase, Gateway Pundit has reported U.S. prosecutor, David Weiss, is currently reviewing if there is enough evidence to seek a federal grand jury indictment against Hunter Biden.

Breitbart News reports:

“Weiss, a twenty-year federal prosecutor, will have to determine if there is enough evidence to seek a federal grand jury indictment against Hunter Biden in an investigation that may end up including other members of the Biden family, such as Joe Biden’s brother James Biden, and potentially the president himself.

Weiss has served as the U.S. Attorney in Delaware since 2018, after being appointed by Donald Trump. Before he was appointed, Weiss was the acting head of the office and received endorsements from Democrats Sens. Tom Carper (D-DE) and Chris Coons (D-DE).”

Gateway Pundit states “Weiss was endorsed by Democrat senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons — and is one of the only Trump-appointed U.S. Attorneys that are still in place since Biden took office.”

A CBS NEWS report pointed out, “Then-President Donald Trump appointed Weiss to be U.S. Attorney in Delaware in 2018. He had been acting head of the office at the time and received the endorsements of Delaware’s U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, both Democrats.

Biden elected to keep Weiss in the position — one of the only Trump-appointed U.S. Attorneys to remain — because he understood the political risk of removing the prosecutor in the midst of an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden’s attorney has not responded to requests for comment. Weiss is the same prosecutor who put the Hunter investigation on pause in 2020. “

The media do seem a bit nervous about the pending chances of a Hunter Biden prosecution

Maybe they should be nervous. On Thursday, April 14, the following series of tweets came out from the Kim Dotcom, starting at 6:38 PM.

Earlier that same day, John Paul Mac Isaac, the computer shop owner who obtained the laptop originally from Hunter, told Newsmax he did not believe newly discovered data deleted from a hard drive could have come from the files he had under his original custody of the laptop because the ‘math doesn’t add up’ on the size of the files.

“I know there’s been a lot of speculation about 450 gigs of newly discovered deleted data off of a hard drive, claiming to come from my original custody,” Mac Isaac told Newsmax’s “National Report.”

“I argue that statement, mainly because the original laptop only had a 250-gig drive, and I was able to recover 220 gigs of data off of it…the math doesn’t add up.”

Mac Issac added that there have been many items done through “Photoshop, creative people out there that have been doctoring things and putting things out on the internet to muddy the waters claiming to be from the laptop.”

But he told Newsmax that while he’s not saying the newly discovered data isn’t real, his concern is that “it is stated that it is reportedly coming from a drive that was in my custody, and it’s not physically possible.”

Just when you think you can catch your breath from all this news, The NY Post publishes an article which links Jim Bulger, the namesake nephew of mobster James “Whitey” Bulger, with Hunter Biden in Chinese business ventures via emails obtained and reviewed by The Post.

According to The Post report, ‘Jim Bulger, chairman and cofounder of the Boston-based Thornton Group financial advisory firm forwarded an email from associate Mike Leonard in January of 2014. In that email, a meeting was proposed among Hunter Biden — whose father, Joe Biden, at the time was vice president of the United States — Bulger, and Rosemont Seneca co-founder Devon Archer.

The email sent on Jan. 27, 2014 — with a subject line that read, “Meeting with Chinese Ambassador” — suggested the group meet in Washington, DC, to “talk about the fund,” according to the message.

“Pretty interesting that someone at the Embassy in Beijing would be interested in what the domestic Bohai PE Fund was up to,” Jim Bulger wrote. “Thought you guys should see this. I still believe a meeting early next week with the Ambassador, if possible, would be best, hope this as not cause to [sic] much of an ass ache.”

“Archer, Biden’s business partner at Rosemont Seneca, replied hours later that he was “providing notes to the Embassy” on the purpose of the meeting and to confirm if timing was “possible,” according to the message.

It’s unclear, however, if the meeting ever took place. A message seeking comment from BHR Partners in Beijing was not immediately returned early Thursday.’”

All this on the same day. Once everything gets a chance to percolate over the week-end, it will be interesting to see what the next news cycle brings. Revealing times, we are living in.
