A popular far-left online streamer has sparked a viral backlash after invoking socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani and declaring that Islam has taken over New York City.
Sneako, whose real name is Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy, made the comments while livestreaming on the streets of New York City after Egypt defeated Australia in the World Cup.
The streamer was surrounded by Egypt soccer fans waving flags, banging drums, blowing horns, and chanting.
“Allahu Akbar!” Sneako shouted with the crowd.
He then mocked critics while appearing to wipe tears from his eyes.
“Oh no, oh no,” Sneako said. “F— you!”
He continued by describing New York in explicitly Islamic political terms.
“This is the Islamic Republic of New York-istan,” Sneako said.
“Islam will be in every household.
“Inshallah the whole world will be Muslim.”
Sneako Invokes Mamdani
Sneako then directly referenced Mamdani, the first Muslim mayor of New York City.
“Welcome to Mamdani’s New York,” Sneako shouted.
“You see this city? You see how it looks?
“Inshallah, your city looks just like this too.”
“Inshallah” is Arabic for “God willing.”
“Allahu Akbar” means “God is great.”

The clip quickly spread across social media, drawing tens of millions of views on platforms including X and Instagram.
Thousands of users condemned Sneako’s remarks.
Sneako has long been known as an internet provocateur and has been associated with antisemitic rhetoric during his rise online.
He previously supported socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) during the 2016 presidential campaign and reportedly converted to Islam in 2023.
His Friday night remarks drew attention not only because of the religious rhetoric but because they were tied to the political symbolism of Mamdani’s New York.
Online Backlash Explodes
One of the sharpest responses came from Rob O’Neill, the Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden during the 2011 raid on the terrorist leader’s compound.
“These guys sound WAY different when you wake them up at 2 am,” O’Neill said.
InfoWars founder Alex Jones also weighed in, calling for Sneako to be deported.
“Deport him NOW!!!” Jones wrote in response to the clip.
X owner Elon Musk replied with a single word.
“Yes,” Musk said.
The exchange was notable because Musk and Jones had previously clashed over Jones’s permanent suspension from the platform when it was still Twitter.
After Musk purchased the company and pledged to restore free speech, he initially hesitated to reinstate Jones because of the controversy surrounding Jones and Sandy Hook.
Musk later allowed Jones back on the platform.
Other users also condemned Sneako.
One X user called him a “Disgusting creature.”
“Send this dude to Iran if he hates America so much,” another wrote.
Sneako Fires Back at Musk
Sneako appeared to respond to the controversy in a cryptic post Sunday night.
“Every knee will bow,” he wrote.
“Every tongue confess.”
On Monday, he took direct aim at Musk after the X owner agreed with Jones’s deportation post.
“Go back to Africa,” Sneako told Musk, who was born in South Africa.
“This is my country.”
The confrontation added another layer to the controversy and ensured the clip continued spreading online.
For critics, Sneako’s remarks were not merely a religious expression.
They were viewed as a taunt aimed at Americans concerned about radical politics, mass migration, and the direction of New York City under Mamdani.
Mamdani’s New York Becomes Flashpoint
Mamdani’s election has already made New York a national symbol in the fight over socialism, immigration, public safety, and religious identity.
Sneako’s viral remarks fed directly into that debate.
The streamer presented the city as a model for Islamic takeover, invoking Mamdani by name while celebrating in the streets after Egypt’s World Cup victory.
That is why the clip caused such a strong reaction.
New York is not just any city.
It is America’s largest city, a global financial center, the citadel of capitalism, and one of the country’s most visible symbols.
When a major online personality declares it the “Islamic Republic of New York-istan,” millions of Americans notice.
Sneako may have intended to provoke outrage.
He succeeded.
But the backlash also showed how sensitive the issue has become as Mamdani’s New York continues to draw national scrutiny.
