Texas’ First Bus Load of Illegal Immigrants Are Dropped Off Near the US Capitol Building

The first bus load of illegal immigrants has arrived in Washington, D.C. just one week after Governor Abbot held his press conference at the U.S. – Mexico Border and announced the Texas’ border security response to the Biden Administration decision dropping Title 42.

Abbot’s strategy for dealing with the massive flood of illegal immigrants was to use charter buses and transport arriving illegals to Washington, D.C.

In his April 6 press conference he said, “We are sending them to the United States Capitol, where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border”.

Today, April13, illegal immigrants who arrived in Texas and originated from Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela have been dropped just a couple of blocks away from the U.S. Capitol.

In a report by FOX News, it was announced the bus from Texas arrived in Washington D.C. with dozens of illegal immigrants as part of a plan by Governor Greg Abbot to counter Biden immigration policies during this ongoing border crisis.

The bus arrived at approximately 8 a.m. EDT only blocks from the U.S. Capitol building. Fox News reported this group has come from the Del Rio sector in Texas.

Individuals and family units were seen. After checking in with officials, the arrivals had wristbands removed and were told they could go.

It is unclear at this point if governor has the legal authority to transport busloads of migrants to the U.S. capitol city. The 2012, Supreme Court Case Arizona v. the United States, prevents states from making their own immigration policies.

Kilmeny Duchardt, a Newsmax Congressional Correspondent, asked ten young immigrants from Venezuela why they decided to volunteer.

Duchardt reported, “They know they are a prop in all of this, but they wanted to come anyway because this allows them to get a ticket to where they’re going. Some of these migrants told me that they want to go on to Miami. They said they are very excited to be here. They feel welcomed,”.

On his Twitter feed Governor Abbot tweeted –

” Texas National Guard conduct mass migration drills in preparation for an influx of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border. This follows my directive to bolster our state’s border security efforts in the wake of the Biden Administration revoking Title 42.”

On Tuesday, Texas National Guards drills began in preparation for the overwhelming influx of illegal immigrants.

Today Governor Abbot tweeted –

“Until Biden enforces immigration laws, Texas will continue to use its own strategies to secure the border. This historic agreement between Texas & Nuevo Leon is a major step in the Lone star State’s efforts to secure the border in the federal government’s absence.
