These are not gods receiving prayers in a temple. They are a named workforce with assigned territories, a hierarchical command structure, and a documented labor grievance that preceded the creation of humanity itself. Not a pantheon invented by a pastoral culture to explain the seasons. A named administrative body with specific regional assignments, individual identities, and a recorded complaint that the text treats as the reason humans exist at all. That distinction matters.
