Victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein who are fed up with the government run-around said they will compile their own “client list” on Wednesday during a rally on Capitol Hill after the House Oversight Committee released 33,000 pages of documents already seen by the public.
The documents released Tuesday night underwhelmed lawmakers from both sides of the aisle.
“After careful review, Oversight Democrats have found that 97% of the documents received from the Department of Justice were already public. There is no mention of any client list or anything that improves transparency or justice for victims,” Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., said in a statement to CNN.

Information included documents and surveillance video from the night of Epstein’s death and court filings from Ghislaine Maxwell. The main contents include flight logs, court filings and surveillance footage.
Ahead of a House news conference with Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., survivors spoke, some for the first time publicly, about the abuse endured from Epstein and his former girlfriend and convicted co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.
The first victim to tell her emotional story was Liz Stein, who said she was 21 years old when she was introduced to Epstein through Ghislaine Maxwell, and it “was the sliding glass doors moment that changed the trajectory of my entire life.”
We’re in a sorority that none of us asked to join, but we all stand here today, stronger together, because our collective voice is powerful,” she told the crowd. “This is not a partisan issue, this is a crime, the crime of sex trafficking and the criminals must be held accountable,” Stein continued.
Stein added that the Justice Department estimated there are as many as 1,000 victims.
“Do you know 1,000 people? Think of the enormity of that. Could you be OK with a crime happening in your community to 1,000 girls and young women and not holding the perpetrators accountable? I think not.”
The family of one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, spoke on her behalf after she died by suicide at age 41 in April.
“Virginia fought for truth. She fought to expose a system that allowed the wealthy, the connected and the powerful to exploit and abuse girls and young women without consequences,” her brother Sky Roberts said. “She fought for every survivor who was silenced, doubted or discarded, and she never backed down, even when the world tried to break her.”
Her family also demanded that Maxwell remain in a maximum security prison for the rest of her life.
No leniency, no deals, no special treatment,” Roberts added. “The Epstein documents must be unsealed. Every name, every detail, no more secrets, no more protection for those who prayed on the vulnerable.
Giuffre filed a lawsuit against British royal Prince Andrew in New York in 2021, where she claimed she was forced to have intercourse with him when she was underage.
She said she was recruited by Maxwell to be a masseuse for Epstein until eventually the couple pressured her into engaging in sexual acts with not only Epstein but his friends and associates as well.
Before Giuffre died, she founded an organization advocating for survivors of sexual assault called Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR).
Lisa Phillips, who said she was brought to Epstein’s island, said she and other survivors will compile their own list of abusers involved in Epstein’s circle since a client list has not been released by the government.
“We know the names. Many of us were abused by them,” she said. “Now together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know were regularly in the Epstein world, and it will be done by survivors, and for survivors, no one else is involved.”
Haley Robson, who said she was introduced to Maxwell at 16 years old, condemned the weaponization of victims’ trauma by politicians and called out the government for inaction over 20 years.
“You may pull the wool over the sheep’s eyes, but we are the keys. We know who was involved,” Robson said through tears. “We know the game. We know the players, and we are sitting here for 20 years waiting for you to get up and do something. Well, guess what? Your time is up and now we’re doing it.”
The afternoon news conference organized by Massie and Khanna gave more victims the chance to speak as the bipartisan duo pushes to collect 218 signatures to force a vote that compels the Department of Justice to release all the unclassified Epstein files within 30 days.
Massie said he needs only two more Republicans to sign the petition to introduce the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Meanwhile, Khanna praised the outspoken members of Trump’s MAGA base who have demanded transparency in the investigation. He recognized Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace and Lauren Boebert.
Surrounded by some of Epstein’s victims, Massie told the crowd at the Capitol that the “Washington establishment is asking the American public to believe something that is not believable.”
“They’re asking you to believe that two individuals created hundreds of victims and they acted alone and that the DOJ has no idea of who else might have been involved that nobody else did anything that rose to a criminal enterprise,” he said. “The American people know that’s not true.”
Greene said, “We are going to fight like hell for these women, because we have to fight like hell for those that are enduring sexual abuse and are living in a prison of shame.”

Another accuser, Marina Lacerda, who identified herself as “Minor Victim 1” in the federal indictment, said she was only 14 years old when she met Epstein.
“It was the summer of high school. I was working three jobs to try to support my mom and my sister when a friend of mine in the neighborhood told me that I could make $300 to give another guy a massage,” she said while choking up. “It went from a dream job to the worst nightmare.”
Trump, who repeatedly criticized the Epstein investigation in the past, told reporters during a meeting with Poland’s new president, Karol Nawrocki, that “nobody is ever satisfied” and called it a “Democratic hoax that never ends.”

Robson responded to Trump and asked him to humanize the victims and “see them for who they are.”
“Mr. President, Donald J. Trump, I am a registered Republican, not that that matters, because this is not political,” she told reporters. “However, I cordially invite you to the Capitol to meet me in person, so you can understand this is not a hoax. We are real human beings. This is real trauma.”
