French Authorities Raid Rothschild Bank in Epstein Investigation

The global Jeffrey Epstein scandal is detonating again as French financial prosecutors have launched raids on the prominent Roshchild banking family as part of the escalating investigations into the explosive revelations buried in the late child predator’s files.

Authorities confirmed searches were carried out across multiple locations, including the Paris branch of Swiss private bank Edmond de Rothschild, as part of a widening investigation into potential corruption linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s network.

The investigations are being led by France’s anti-corruption and financial crimes unit.

French Probe Targets Diplomat Tied to Epstein Files

France’s national financial prosecutor’s office said the operation stems from a preliminary investigation into suspected bribery involving a foreign public official.

At the center of the probe is former French diplomat Fabrice Aidan.

Investigators are examining whether Aidan provided sensitive diplomatic material to Jeffrey Epstein, raising serious national security concerns.

The case was triggered by a referral from France’s Foreign Ministry following damning disclosures in the newly released Epstein files.

French outlet Mediapart reported that Aidan’s name appeared in more than 200 documents, including emails sent between 2010 and 2016 from both personal and U.N. accounts.

Those communications have fueled suspicions that confidential United Nations materials may have been handed to Epstein.

Aidan has denied wrongdoing, while his lawyer is urging respect for the presumption of innocence.

Rothschild Bank Dragged Into Epstein Web

The investigation is also zeroing in on ties between Epstein and the financial elite.

Reports indicate that Ariane de Rothschild, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild, had a long-held relationship with Epstein beginning in 2013, emails have revealed.

The bank has acknowledged that de Rothschild met Epstein multiple times between 2013 and 2019, claiming those interactions occurred “in the normal course of her duties.”

It also insists she “had no knowledge of Mr. Epstein’s conduct and personal behavior.”

The institution says it is cooperating with authorities, adding it has:

“Taken the necessary measures to guarantee the interests of its clients, employees, and shareholders.”

Notably, the bank has provided no details about what those “measures” actually entail.

Raids Signal Escalation of Epstein Cover-Up Questions

The searches, carried out by France’s anti-corruption and financial crimes unit, mark a major escalation in the European fallout from Epstein’s network.

This is no longer limited to distant associations or social connections.

Investigators are now probing potential corruption, classified material leaks, and high-level financial ties.

French Establishment Already Shaken

The Epstein files have already forced political casualties in France.

Former Culture Minister Jack Lang resigned earlier this year from his role leading the Arab World Institute after being hit with a tax fraud investigation tied to the disclosures.

Meanwhile, Epstein’s longtime associate Jean-Luc Brunel, accused of trafficking underage girls, was found dead in a Paris jail while awaiting trial in 2022.

Like Epstein’s, Brunel’s death was officially ruled a suicide.

Epstein himself was supposedly found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, a case that continues to raise serious questions about how such a high-profile prisoner was left unguarded.
