TikTok has permanently banned advertisements from XX-XY Athletics, a clothing brand that stands against the inclusion of trans-identified males in women’s sports and for safety and fairness for female athletes. The heartwarming ad features women and girls advocating for reality, sex-based rights, and encouraging people to be brave in that fight.
Brand founder Jennifer Sey posted a notification she received from the social media giant to X, which stated that “your account has been permanently suspended because it does not comply with our advertising policies.”

“We enforce our Advertising Policies through a mix of technology and human moderation. We have detected this policy violation using a mix of automated and manual measures. You can still log into your account, but your ads will not be delivered,” the notification from the TikTok for Business Team added.
The notification stated that XX-XY Athletics’ advertising on the platform “may violate TikTok’s advertising policies by featuring offensive content,” adding that an appeal can be submitted “within 180 days.”
Sey posted the advertisement that TikTok took issue with, which urged parents, athletes, and others to “stand up” against biological males being allowed in women’s sports.

The brand launched in late March, created by former Levi’s global brand president Sey. Ambassadors of the brand include former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Paula Scanlan—both of whom swam in competition with male Lia Thomas who claimed to be trans and walked away with NCAA records in women’s swimming. Detransitioner Chloe Cole, DEI opponent Dr. Tabia Lee, and author Adam Coleman are also ambassadors of the brand.
“We are unapologetic about our goal,” the brand’s website states. “We are here to protect women’s sports and spaces.”
“It is simply undeniable that sex matters, especially in sport. It is the single biggest determinant of athletic performance. Men and women are different. It’s just a fact. Men have XY chromosomes and more testosterone which makes them stronger and faster.”
The brand features athletics clothing such as leggings and fleece tops, as well as graphic t-shirts sporting slogans such as “Team Women,” “Save Women’s Sports,” and “Born Brave.”
